I learned a little about the "Power of Yet" last summer while reading some teaching blogs. A friend and I decided to create signs for our classrooms. We wanted to teach students that even though a task may be challenging, it is important to keep persevering until the task is completed. We wanted students to believe that they can and will experience success if they put their mind to it!
The "Power of Yet" has helped me gain a more positive outlook on teaching and in my own personal life. When things seem impossible and are frustrating, I often remind myself that my time will eventually come. My students have gained the same understanding. They have set goals and worked all year to get there! Some students have already reached their goals and others have not met them YET, but believe and are determined that they will!
I am currently in the process of looking to buy my first house. I am learning that there are many steps and obstacles to this process. It is starting to feel as though it is NEVER going to actually happen. However, I know that even though I do not have my own place YET, I believe it will happen at the right time!

I can't wait for the house warming party! I think I will go shopping for a little gift because even though it hasn't happened YET it will soon! I love your signs! I remember seeing them in a different assignment and I still want to make one for my classroom! I don't have one, YET :)
